Mary Kay Daugherty, PA-C

Mary Kay Daugherty, PA-C, is a physician assistant who specializes in orthopedic surgery. “I want my patients to feel heard when expressing their health concerns. I strive to work with them to accomplish their health goals through patient education, clear communication and holistic care,” she said.

Since high school, Mary Kay has been fascinated with the profession of being a physician assistant (PA) and helping others. She began to pursue her passion early during undergraduate studies to help prepare for her PA degree.

“I developed a passion for orthopedics during my clinical year of my PA education,” she said. “I love assisting patients in achieving ease of mobility and the healthiest version of themselves during any stage of life.”

Mary Kay’s education includes:
     • Master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Nova Southeastern University (NSU) in Florida, 2021
     • Bachelor’s degree in biology at Anderson University (AU) in South Carolina, 2016

She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants.

Outside of working at the clinic and the hospital, Mary Kay likes to exercise, travel, dance, bake and spend time with her husband.

Mary Kay welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans. She has two office locations.
